Stephanie practices from Empirical Health, Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Port Macquarie. Stephanie holds a double degree in Chinese Medicine and Human Biology, from RMIT University, and she also spent time studying at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. She practised in Melbourne at a Chinese Medicine clinic focusing on women's health, before relocating to Port Macquarie where she continues to work with women, but enjoys addressing a wide variety of presenting health concerns. Stephanie is passionate about digestive health, a paleo-style diet (for many, but not for all), bone broth, organic foods and drinks and traditional Eastern dietary wisdom. She treats anything from headaches and migraines and bad PMS, to irritable bowel conditions such as Crohn's Disease, recurrent urinary tract infections, and difficulty sleeping. Chinese Medicine looks at the whole body. No aspect of your health is seen in isolation to the whole. Initial consultations involve an in depth look at your overall state of health, health history, and health goals. Disease is seen as an imbalance in your physiology, and Stephanie strongly believes in the body's ability to heal itself - we may just need to give it a kick-start, and push it in the right direction.
