From beginnings as a bakery in the 1880s, Terre has evolved into a quirky, rustic café where a relaxed yet vibrant ambiance entices diners into a décor of exposed brick walls adorned with local artists’ work. On balmy days sit alfresco in a paved courtyard, moving indoors in chillier months to cosy up next to a wood burning fire and sit back on multi-coloured cushions emblazoned with motivating mottos. Kick start the day with a farmer’s breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, spinach, mushrooms and a hash brown, served with toast and housemade tomato relish; while those visiting later may delve into the likes of chilli and lime squid salad, on a bed of mixed lettuce with tomato, roasted capsicum and cucumber.
