Opening as a sourdough organic and biodynamic bread bakery back in 1992, Himalaya Bakery & Café has since evolved and expanded, now a popular Daylesford bakery café on Vincent Street. Maroon and burgundy tones border the shopfront timbers, creating a warm and inviting outward charm that continues inside with rich honeyed timbers and a dining area filled with delightful smells to tease the senses. A lively buzz of friendly chatter adds to the atmosphere as visitors come and go, picking up a fresh loaves of bread, some cheeky sweet treats or staying for a coffee and meal with friends. Many vegetarian options feature on the menu such as mushroom risotto with baby spinach, porcini powder and organic rice, alongside mains like pan fried gnocchi with chicken in a pumpkin and cream sauce.
