Pentland Childcare & Kindergarten Centre

At Pentland Childcare and Kindergarten Centre, we provide a comprehensive educational and recreational program for the children attending this service.  The program is responsive to children's ideas, interests, strengths and abilities as we recognise that children primarily learn through play.

Our program is created in consultation with families using our service and information gathered from individual observations taken of children during their play.  Our qualified educators focus on forming secure relationships with the children and then, using their professional knowledge and following guidelines of the national Early Years Learning Framework, are able to create an educational program that is individual and specific to the children in our care, building on their interests and abilities.

The aim of these programs will be to assist children to develop a strong sense of identity, wellbeing, develop confidence, effective communication skills, and be involved learners as they make sense of and connections to the world around them.
