The Buckland Convalescent Hospital was established in 1934 and has become one of the most highly regarded servides in the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales.
The Buckland Nursing Home is a new state-of-the-art 80 bed facility located on the main Springwood site.
This new facility has 80 single rooms each with its own ensuite, individual air conditioning and wall mounted flat screen television as standard.
Also on the site are new recreational areas, a new central kitchen, a fully established laundry and extensive roof gardens. Many of the new nursing home bedrooms have a bush outlook or a view into an internal courtyard.
The bedrooms are grouped into units of 12 or 16 and each group of bedrooms have access to their own dining/sitting areas.
Donald Coburn Lodge is a 64 bed low care facility and each of the single rooms has an ensuite. This facility is built in groups of eight and also provides a separate sitting/dining area for each of the groups.
Other services include respite care, library, diversional therapy areas and a kiosk.
Buckland Village provides a wide range of independent living options, i.e. one bedroom, one bedroom with den, two bedroom and three bedroom units. The village also has 14 free standing cottages each with three bedrooms and its own garage.
