About Loreto Nursing Home

Originally established close to the sisters' Mother House St Patrick's Convent on The Strand as a home for ageing and frail sisters Loreto Nursing Home was extended in the early 1980s to become a licensed accommodation for frail aged lay women as well as sisters. In November 2009 residents were moved into a new facility relocated at its present address on Fulham Road Townsville. Because of its small size compared with many other age-care facilities (just 25 beds) Loreto offers an intimate homelike atmosphere.
