Banksia Village

Banksia Village at Broulee in NSW comprises Banksia Lodge - a 52 place residential aged care facility and 90 two and three bedroom self care villas. Banksia Lodge offers low level ageing in place residential aged care. It does not offer full high level care, but is working towards this goal by steadily extending its ageing in place services. It also offers dementia care up to but excluding highly challenging care needs. A conversation with the Banksia Lodge manager is the best way of determining whether Banksia Lodge can meet a prospective resident's needs. Banksia Villages Ltd is a not for profit, community based organisation, formed for the specific purpose of providing high quality care and accommodation. The grounds are beautiful and spacious, and the site is almost completely flat. Banksia Lodge participates in innovative care programs such as safe wandering (adventures in golf buggies; It's Never 2 Late computer based programs; and research projects in partnership with the University of Canberra.)
