SummitCare Wallsend is a 142 bed fully accredited centre located in Wallsend, Newcastle. This is a purpose built state of the art centre offering single and double accommodation all with ensuite bathrooms.

Resident accommodation is on two levels overlooking landscaped courtyards, parklands and beautiful Mount Sugarloaf. The centre offers both high and low level care, dementia specific services and high level extra services care.

The external courtyards provide a relaxed outdoor atmosphere. They have a tranquil water feature, a permanent chess board feature within the paving, a Remembrance Garden and stunning gardens.

The courtyards are easily accessible to those with mobility aids and those in wheelchairs.

The centre is divided into eight units. Four of these are located on the ground floor and a further four are located on the first floor. Each unit houses between 15 and 19 people.

The units are fully self contained with their own dining and lounge areas, balconies and outdoor areas. There are also a number of common areas through the centre that are accessible by all. Having ease of access to both internal and external living spaces enables residents to entertain family and friends.

Experienced Registered Nurses staff the centre 24 hours per day ensuring the provision of high level care required for residents. A team of leisure and lifestyle staff provide a full and varied social and therapeutic program for all residents.

All staff members participate in ongoing education held in our education centre ensuring they remain up to date with current best practice.

A fully appointed hairdressing salon/beauty day spa is located in the foyer and our qualified Hairdresser and Beautician visit three times per week.

Our meals are served in our luxurious dining rooms or served in the resident's room depending on individual preference. The menu has been reviewed by a qualified dietician to ensure the highest nutritional standard for our residents.
